This Teevra review starts with a saree that wasn’t even Pushpita’s own. Every Teevra customer has a first saree, and hers was a gift, sent from one country to another, at a moment when very little else was moving smoothly. Six years and a continent later, she’s still ordering.
01 — How it started
A gift, not a purchase
Pushpita first came across Teevra the way a lot of our longtime customers do — not through an ad, but through someone else’s saree. She saw Mohua Moitra wearing a Bhujodi saree that had been gifted by Teevra, and that was the introduction. It’s a common enough path for new customers — someone notices a saree at a wedding or a festival, asks where it came from, and ends up placing an order themselves months or years later.
02 — Through the pandemic

Her first real order wasn’t for herself either. During the Covid pandemic, Pushpita was living in Bangladesh and wanted to send a gift to her mother-in-law in India — not a simple errand from that distance, at that particular moment. Vrinda took the order and made sure it reached her safely, at a time when a lot of ordinary things weren’t going smoothly.
That kind gesture meant a lot to me during those challenging times.

03 — A Teevra review, six years in

Pushpita moved to Canada in 2021, and the distance from India didn’t change how she shops — she’s relied on Teevra for her ethnic wear ever since. It’s not just sarees, either: Vrinda arranges fall and blouse stitching before anything ships, and when Pushpita has other purchases from India to bring over, Teevra collects them at their own end and sends everything together in a single courier, rather than several smaller shipments at several separate costs.
It’s a unique experience that makes me feel like I have a didi back in India who takes care of all my shopping needs.
