Saree pop-ups
in Delhi.

A saree pop-up in Delhi is the easiest way to see Teevra’s handloom sarees, suits, and dupattas in person — in daylight, with a real person to answer your questions.

3-minute read · Visit

Most of Teevra happens over WhatsApp, which works well until you want to see a colour in daylight or feel how a fabric falls. That’s what our pop-ups are for. We hold a saree pop-up in Delhi twice a year, around March and September, at Teresa’s home, so you can look at handloom in person instead of on a screen.

01 — Why see it in person

A saree pop-up in Delhi, and why it helps

Handloom is hard to judge from a photo. Natural dyes vary slightly from piece to piece, zari catches light differently in a room than on a phone, and weight and drape only make sense once you’ve held the cloth. Seeing a saree in person settles the questions that photos can’t.

  • Colour in daylight. The shade you see in the room is the shade you’ll wear.
  • Weight and drape. Feel how a Chanderi floats and how a Kanjivaram holds its shape.
  • Border and pallu detail. See the weave and the zari up close, the way you would in a shop.
  • Answers on the spot. Ask which weave it is, who made it, and what it should cost.
02 — What you’ll find

What we bring along

The same handloom sarees and unstitched suit and dupatta materials we sell over WhatsApp, sourced directly from weavers across India. Our field guide to twelve handloom weaves is a good primer before you come, and the price guide shows what each should cost, so you know what to look for.

Want to hear the dates?

We hold two pop-ups a year, around March and September. If you’re interested, let us know on WhatsApp and we’ll message you the dates and the address once they’re fixed. We share them privately rather than posting them here, since it’s a home, not a shop.

03 — Before you come

Making the most of a visit

  • Let us know you’re interested. We’ll message you the dates, the timing, and where to come.
  • Tell us the occasion. A wedding, an office wardrobe, and a festival gift are three different searches, and knowing yours lets us have the right pieces ready.
  • Mention a budget range. Handloom runs from a few thousand rupees to several lakhs, so a rough range keeps the visit useful for both of us.
  • Bring the blouse or outfit in mind. If you’re matching a blouse, a jacket, or jewellery, tell us the colours so we can show you what actually pairs.

A saree pop-up in Delhi works best when it feels like an unhurried conversation about cloth, not a rush through a rack.
